Description

You were blessed to be a blessing. God placed each of us on this Earth to make a difference, to add to this life, and to give something back. Join us for a day of serving our community together. We will be beautifying The Launch Pad to keep the campus cozy and warm for young adults aged 18-24 who are “aged out” of foster care or at risk of homelessness.

There will be a variety of projects from gardening to painting to assembling furniture. The event is all outdoors, and we ask that volunteers be over the age of 18. If you are unable to join us to serve, we encourage you to register to donate much-needed hygiene products or sign up for home-cooked meal prep to provide meals for the residents. We welcome you to sign up for more than one option, if you are able to!

Please sign up by Thursday, October 19 so we can provide a headcount of volunteers to TLF.

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10

FOR SECURITY REASONS, THE ADDRESS FOR THE LAUNCH PAD WILL BE EMAILED SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT TO VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE SIGNED UP.

DONATED HYGIENE PRODUCTS AND MEALS CAN BE DROPPED OFF THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT. MULTIPLE DROP-OFF LOCATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED TO YOU CLOSER TO THE SERVE DATE.

ABOUT TEEN LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION
Foster teens are some of the most vulnerable members of our society. Left to fend for themselves at age 18, foster teens emancipate out of the government system with little to no advantage. When teens age out of the foster care system, they’re left with nowhere else to go, consequently becoming some of society’s most forgotten, abused, and marginalized members. Homelessness, incarceration, and human trafficking are just some of the negative outcomes pervading this emancipation crisis.

Teen Leadership Foundation has created a comprehensive guide for church leaders to impact their community through foster teen care. TLF is encouraging us to be proactive, refusing to accept the label life and society has stamped on these teens, and instead offer them a different label … one of “leader.” They believe that every broken story is a leader in the making.

ABOUT THE LAUNCH PAD
The Launch Pad, a division of Teen Leadership Foundation, provides a family based community to support young adults ages 18-24 who are emancipated from foster care, those whom are NMD participating in extended foster and those at-risk of homelessness. The Launch Pad is a safeguard to these young adults, but more importantly, it provides a safe and forever family to help them realize their untapped potential and dreams.
